Australian pop princess Jessica Mauboy has excitingly announced the revival of Season two of The Secret Daughter which she stars as the lead role Billie Carter. With the show due to air shortly on Channel 7 the songstress has just dropped the second single from the accompanying soundtrack. “Then I Met You” is the second and final original track on the collection next to fellow single “Fallin”. The RNB meets pop track goes back to her playful roots with a euphoric production and infectious hook. This is the Jessica Mauboy you were first introduced to post Australian Idol on her debut album “Been Waiting”. The reflective song looks at not feeling like you will fall in love after a string of unfortunate experiences but then meeting that someone who steals your heart completely. “Then I met you, now when the lights go out I know I’m safe and sound. Then I met you, now I can feel at home even when you’re not around”. It’s an instantly catchy track that radiates the first love innocence feelings that I wish we could all hold onto. It’s fun, carefree and honestly a bop. The production isn’t overdone or trying to over compensate and she just delivers smooth RNB-pop.
