Her previously released single ‘Save Me’ is already my number one song of the year to-date, and the Californian singer-songwriter has just announced that the five track EP of the same name will be released on June 24. To accompany that announcement, she has dropped yet another bonafide banger with the pulsating anthem of strength, ‘Dance For You’.
This is a song for anyone that has gone through an experience where someone has had a unique hold on you. Where their opinion has had a controlling impact on you, and you needed to break free from their chains and be yourself again. This song is a celebration of finding yourself again in the wake of realising someone isn’t meant for you, and screaming out that they need to let you move on. “Forget I used to dance for you” she fiercely sings during the captivating hook.
The dance-pop track begins with smooth synths that build into a pulsating rhythmic hook that will have you immediately dancing along with her. There’s a euphoric energy that charges through and cultivates this freeing feeling that we all need to feel every now and then.
