LIVE REVIEW: The OG Wiggles Reunion Tour – Brisbane Entertainment Centre

Your childhood memories are precious, and for a lot of people watching The Wiggles was a major part of that journey. The original line up of Anthony, Greg, Jeff and Murray changed the way that children entertainment is perceived globally, and for that their legacy lives on through a new generation of Wiggles who are still led by Anthony.

Taking a moment to celebrate the generation they collectively raised with their educational and infectious songs, the original line-up reunited for a one-off special arena tour. Capped at an age limit of 16+, this adults only experience was designed for people to find their inner child and embrace nostalgia.  Packing out the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, the euphoria was infectious as everyone travelled down memory lane through this theatrical affair with Wags The Dog, Captain Feathersword, Henry The Octopus, Dorothy The Dinosaur and even the new Wiggles cast all on stage. The original Big Red Car even made an appearance, which was a special ode to the organic beginnings.

If you’ve been watching the tour on TikTok then you know there have been a lot of surprises and viral moments along the way, and the Brisbane stop didn’t hold back from delivering those. From an innocent stage crasher, to a performance of Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’, and obviously a rendition of their Like A Version smash hit ‘Elephant’, they had the audience smiling, laughing and reminiscing. But one of the most special moments came from Robert Irwin making an appearance and paying tribute to his father with a performance of ‘The Crocodile Hunter’.

With a setlist compiled of ALL of the hits, and songs that you may have forgotten about for a hot moment, this was a show that felt euphoric from start to finish. There was something very theraputic about screaming these songs out loud and reliving the joy of your childhood with 10,000+ adults.
