SINGLE REVIEW: Alfie Templeman – Colour Me Blue

British rising star Alfie Templeman is set to release his debut album ‘Mellow Moon’ into the world on May 27 and so far he has delivered a string of ear-worm hooks with lead singles ‘3D Feelings’, ‘Broken’ and recent fan track ‘Leaving Today’. But he’s ready to add one of the catchiest tunes from the album yet to that list with the infectious ‘Colour Me Blue’.

The immediately anthemic track is one you can already imagine live. It has this groove-laden hook that sneaks up and hits you with the biggest punch of euphoria. Building its feel-good energy through the layering of groovy guitar riffs and a light drum beat, it will have you bouncing along to that damn-good chorus.

Commenting on the feelings of when you first fall in love, this song represents those butterflies that fill your stomach when you’re around them, or even just think about them, as well as the intoxicating emotions of just wanting to be around them 24/7. “Do you want me to come around? Pick you up when you’re feeling down? I could be, I could be somewhere with you. Colour me, colour me, colour me blue” he euphorically sings.

‘Colour Me Blue’ really is just one of those feel-good songs you will want on repeat from the moment you hear it. And I know I can’t wait to scream along to it live on his forthcoming debut Australian tour.
