Every city has some uniquely special record stores that are characteristically apart of some people’s personality, and have created a warm and comforting place for others to go to. Jet Black Cat Music is one of those stores for the people of Brisbane, and over the past 10 years they have cultivated a fanbase that trust them dearly for their diverse record selection and obscure music recommendations.
To thank the people who keep them alive and kicking during these unprecedented times, they launched a boutique music festival with the help of Handsome Touring. In 2020 Nine Lives Festival debuted just before the world shut down due to the pandemic. With a second year scheduled, promoted, and ready to go, they eventually were able to open their gates again at The Tivoli for a day of good music and extra good vibes. Joining the 2022 line up was King Stingray, #1 Dads, Stella Donnelly, Wiigz, Bananagun and more.
