Oozing a natural delivery of his sultry and smooth hitting vocals intertwined with live guitar, keys and drum instrumentation, there is an organic layering to this song. Sonically found somewhere between Glass Animals, Parcels, and San Cisco, he has taken his experimental debut single and given you an indie-pop polish that is ready for triple j rotation.
Capturing the euphoric feeling that stumbling across love gives you, he expresses his disbelief that his partner is really in his life and questions where she came from. “Darling where’d you come from? You found me out of the blue. Darling where’d you come from? I’m stunned when I think of you” he questions. Paying homage to an experience where his partner had a possum fall down her chimney, he notes how that act of random surprise is what it felt like when she popped into his life. “Like a possum down the chimney (Surprise!)” he quirkily sings.
