SINGLE REVIEW: Client Liaison – House Of Holy

Client Liaison are ready to bring you into the ‘House Of Holy’ with their euphoric new single which is ultimately a disco shaking track with a lot of heart. Taken from their forthcoming sophomore album ‘Divine Intervention’ which will be released on September 10, the 80’s loving duo have continued the hook driven exploration of their previous singles.

Self acceptance is the radiating message at the core of this track, and they call upon listeners to come together and celebrate each other in their own house of holy. Sounding a bit like a cult, this is the cult of Client Liaison where they just want you to be authentically yourself, and I’m ready to sign up. “Nobody knows the why’s, how do you get by when we’re all inside this house of holy. Over the lows to highs, bring us back to shine to brighter skies for a chance at glory” they sing during the euphoric hook.

The production is super shiny and plays into the time-warp 80’s aesthetic they’ve centred their career-to-date around. Beginning stripped back with just a piano the song erupts into a groovy guitar riff around the 1 minute mark and doesn’t look back from there. With layered guitars, drums, synths and pop beats, they build this really slinky sound that is so infectious and liberating in itself before you even add the accepting lyrics on top of it. And they even add a flute solo… yes… A FLUTE SOLO. And to be honest this should be something that happens more often in pop music. Please and thanks.

With their new album only a few months away along with the accompanying headline tour, you better get ready to dance and embrace love in all of its disco realness.
