With their biggest headline tour yet being put on hold because of the global pandemic, WAAX’s 2020 got very quiet very quickly. With restrictions slowly beginning to be lifted in their home state of Queensland, the Brisbane based five piece decided to give their fans an exclusive run of shows at The Tivoli.
With 5 sold out shows at the Iconic Brissy venue, they kicked off the residency on Thursday night with a high energy set of all the fan favourites from their debut album ‘Big Grief’, as well as their previous EP’s ‘Wild & Weak’ and ‘Holy Sick’. But on top of that they also premiered some brand new material that they’ve been working on during lockdown which showcased the fact that WAAX are ready to come back STRONG.
