With their highly anticipated sophomore album on the horizon, Boo Seeka are ready to get you dancing while euphorically proclaiming the question that we are all currently asking; “how long till the days get better?”.
For obvious reasons, that lyric is very timely as it fits to the way we are all living our lives in a COVID-19 world, and the way that we are being forced to adjust to a “new normal”. But as you scrape a little deeper, their new single ‘Days Get Better’ is actually about the end of a relationship. After taking a break to figure out what they should do next, they question what happens if their love interest doesn’t see the positives so clearly and come back to them.
“Will you love me when you’re open, open. Open up your eyes” they hopefully sing during the chorus.
Following in ‘Take A Look’s footsteps, this song has a very anthemic grasp on the production, with ethereal inspired harmonies bringing those atmospheric tendencies to the forefront. But they also dive into a moodier palette that plays with darker and edgier sounds to contrast this already established vision.
Found somewhere between Rufus Du Sol and Imagine Dragons, ‘Days Get Better’ is a breath of fresh air, and an anthemic journey of hope which we can all relate to right now.
