Evan Klar is one of Australia’s most exciting rising songwriter and producer’s. A little peep at his Instagram gives you a snapshot to the calibre of artists he’s collaborated with including Kate Miller Heidke, Austen, Tyne James-Organ, Mumford & Sons, Japanese Wallpaper, Jack Gray, Essie Holt and Alice Ivy.
But in-amongst all of these collaborations, the self proclaimed bedroom pop addict has been working on his own solo project with a forthcoming EP expected later this year.
Following the rhythmic flow of ‘Figure It Out’ and ‘I Do’, he has unveiled his next single which explores the positive range in his vocals as well as his mindset which encourages motivation.
‘Make The Most Of This’ is a hopeful pop track that cites some influences from the likes of George Ezra and Milky Chance. The production matches the positivity that the lyrics and vocal delivery implements with a rhythmically charged pop beat and guitar riff keeping the song’s energy pulsating.
Exploring the happy voice in his head he wanted to write a song that not only inspired himself but also inspired others. And he did that. “Don’t give up. While you’re on your way up. Change our minds. Shoes untied let’s waste some time” he sings during the first verse before euphorically professing “I wanna make the most of this” during the hook.
From a first listen this song immediately grabs your attention, makes you feel happy and has you wanting to press replay on it over and over again. And with an EP on the way, I’m ready for more tracks like this to inject the positivity into my life that we need in 2020.
