SINGLE REVIEW: Marco – Only Want You

Following his first major label release ‘Harder To Breathe’ after signing to Sony Music Australia earlier this year, Marco has backed up his emotive flow with another strong introductory track.

‘Only Want You’ hears the Brisbane singer-songwriter delivering a captivating chilled out pop moment that intertwines a hypnotic RNB influence into his electronic foundations.

Reflecting on the unexpected moment of falling for someone, he explains how he’s devoted to stop talking to anyone else and just focus on them after feeling that spark immediately between them.

“It’s not hard to choose, baby. I didn’t know it when I left that I would leave behind the best I ever had. These other girls don’t stand a chance” he admits during the rhythmically charged hook before confessing “I only want you”.

Opening with the soothing strumming of a guitar while his vocals trickle over top, he adds in atmospheric production before mixing in that rhythmically charged beat that drives the steady groove.

Feeling like a track you would’ve heard on commercial radio in the mid-2000’s, it has a nostalgic freshness to it that stands out to the other songs that are currently gracing your airwaves. It’s an easy listening track with a catchy hook that you will want to press replay on quickly.
