SINGLE REVIEW: Glass Animals – Your Love (DÉJÀ VU)

Following the huge announcement that they will be returning to Australia this July to play Splendour In The Grass, Glass Animals have dropped a groovy little track to ignite your weekend vibes.

‘Your Love (DÉJÀ VU)’ hears the British four-piece serving up some slickly produced and groovy tinged psychedelic pop sounds. Inserting a boldness that they explored on their last studio album ‘How To Be A Human Being’, this track is definitely more in the pop realm compared to their hip-hop infused 2019 single ‘Tokyo Drifting’ with Denzel Curry which felt quite left centre for them.

Reflecting on toxic people and the habits we create where we willingly let bad people back into our life, this song hears them trying to put their foot down and being more aware of the actions they’re making.

“I shut my eyes. You call but I just cut the line. I know your style. I know that you want one more night. And I’m backsliding into this just one more time” lead singer, Dave Bayley, sings during the opening moments of the song.

With a rhythmic foundation, the production is built around it to give this pop polish that helps create the choruses important singalong moments which will be a great addition to their already thriving live show.
