With their second year in full swing, Good Things Festival proved why it’s Australia best new rock festival. Exclusively set for a East Coast run of dates, these packed shows were full of high intensity energy and very memorable sets that pleased fans and critics alike.
With a tailored line up of nostalgic favourites along with current heavyweights, homegrown favourites and new explorations, there was literally something for everyone in this eclectic bill.
From the mammoth headliners Parkway Drive and A Day To Remember, to Simple Plan, Enter Shikari, The Veronicas, Falling In Reverse, Skegss, Simple Creatures, Poppy and Dance Gavin Dance you couldn’t help but be impressed with how well they curated the shear diversity in a “rock festival”.
Wrapping up the East Coast run in Brisbane on a glaringly hot Sunday, the religiously proclaimed “day of rest” was not so followed by the 10,000+ people that packed into Brisbane Showgrounds.
From the infamous wall of death during ‘Untouched’ in The Veronicas set to the legendary appearance of Blink 182’s, Mark Hoppus, and All Time Low’s, Alex Gaskarth, in their new side project Simple Creatures to the fiery headline set by Parkway Drive which lit up the main stage, there was a lot of unique highlights.
