Fresh from touring with SAFIA on their massive national tour, Boo Seeka are closing their year with an extensive NSW tour that will then see them flying over to Indonesia for some exclusive shows in Bali.
With these new shows quickly approaching, it only seems appropriate that they have some new material to play. ‘Moonlight Run’ is an euphoric anthem that is dedicated to the memories of the night.
Stepping into a similar sonic palette as Crooked Colours, SAFIA and Rufus Du Sol, they bring their own unique flair to the sound with a groovy baseline and soaring guitars that are specially highlighted during the final hook.
It’s not as electronically intense as their previous releases this year like ‘Millennium Drive’ or ‘Ruler’ and it’s more on the same sonical wavelength as the chilled out ‘Rush’ which was more of an aesthetically pleasing electronic moment.
Where the energy is really captured on this song is through the lyrics. Embracing the excitement that is generated from a night out with your friends that’s still thriving at midnight and could go in any direction, it’s that thrilling emotion they emulate. Capturing it in a less intense way, they provide a cinematic soundtrack that would play in a curated montage of memories from the night out.
It’s a catchy track that will really add to their growing live show and is a great representation of the direction they are heading in as a duo.
