Client Liaison have the groove. They have the uniqueness. They have the personality. And they’ve got the songs.
Essentially they’re a 80’s pop band stuck in 2019, and they’re unapologetically themselves in the boldest and most defining way. They’ve one it all from collaborating with iconic Australian musicians to running their own clothing line and even touring their own music festival in 2018.
Ahead of their national tour this October and November, the dynamic duo are bringing it back to be all about the music. Their new single ‘The Beat Supreme’ is a song that pays homage to some of the Australian greats like INXS, Icehouse, Yothu Yindi, Tina Arena, John Farhnam and Christine Anu. The groovy layering of the song is everything you love about the 80’s. It has that funk and it has the empowering feel that has you wanting to dance the night away.
The nostalgia doesn’t feel gimmicky, nor does it feel out of place in this current sonic climate. It’s the type of sound that could still have a massive resurgence. Like who doesn’t love 80’s pop? (If you answered that by saying “I don’t”, then I just want you to know that your comments are invalid.).
Compared to their last release ‘The Real Thing’, it does take a couple of listens to get stuck in your head lyrically, but the infectious beat is one that you will want to listen to again because of the complexities behind it.
Client Liaison is a band that just have that star factor and you can’t help but be so obsessed and intrigued by everything they do.
