GALLERY: – The Flaming Lips – Fortitude Music Hall

It’s been 20 years since The Flaming Lips released their iconic album ‘The Soft Bulletin’. This record plays a special role in their discography as it was the one that crossed them over into pop culture, and saw them being understood as the bold visionaries they’ve become as musicians.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, the dynamic band have returned to Australia for a string of exclusive shows. Playing ‘The Soft Bulletin’ in it’s entirety as well as a selection of their greatest hits including ‘Are You A Hypnotist’ and ‘Do you Realize??’, they kicked off the tour in Brisbane at the new Fortitude Music Hall with special guests The Grates. With a whole lot of balloons, confetti, costumes and strobe lights, this was a visually overwhelming show that was so extra in the right ways.
