Australia has a fresh new face to get acquainted with in the RNB world and it’s rather exciting because for a long time we’ve been a little behind with the growing genre which has really taken over the global market.
Lara Andallo first introduced herself last month with her sultry debut single ‘Confidential’ which was ultra smooth and had a modern injected groove that drove the production. For her follow up single ‘180’ featuring Lil Spacely, she adds a grittier beat that has a polished finish to it which makes the darker beats stands out.
The slickly produced track is one that immediately stands out and draws comparisons to recent material from the likes of Kehlani, Teyana Taylor and Tayla Parx. The beat is just so addictive and with her smooth vocals layered over the top you can’t help but be transfixed.
With a feature rap from Lil Spacely feeling a little unnecessary, she could’ve made a bigger impact as just a solo track as it didn’t really add anything special or different with him involved. Which is a shame cause this song is so hype and catchy as a standalone that you would’ve have hoped he’d step up to the plate and meet the high expectations she set. But with that put aside, ‘180’ is a strong follow up single to ‘Confidential’ which makes her a strong contender to bring RNB back to Australia.
