SINGLE REVIEW: Post Malone – Circles

With the surprise announcement of his third studio album ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ slated for release on September 6, Post Malone is ready to prove himself again with his dominative chart and radio takeover.

Treating his fans to one single before the big release, ‘Circles’ is a song that is melodically a little different for Posty, but one that feels like a strong choice. Leading the way with a guitar driven production layered with 80’s reminiscent synths, this song steps into a mature direction for him. Showing a growth in his artistry, he isn’t afraid to experiment with his sound and deliver something that isn’t necessarily the usual hip-hop beat driven.

Reflecting on the breakdown of a relationship that was inevitably coming to an end, he ponders on the feeling that has forced him to let go. “Seasons change and our love went cold. Feed  the flame cause we can’t let it go. Run away, but we’re running in circles”.

The production on this track is so dreamy and will have you immediately drawn in. It’s the sort of song you can blast on a summers day road trip on a coastal road with friends or even on a rainy day by yourself spent staring out of the window. It’s a very “in the moment” sort of song, and it works incredibly well.
