It’s not often that an act from Fremantle in Western Australia blows up the way Spacey Jane has, but with their sudden impact being unmissable, they are reminding people that the west coast of Australia knows how to deliver some real surf and indie-rock vibes.
This dynamic four piece have had a crazy 2019 which has seen them play Splendour In The Grass, sell out 8 shows on a national headlining tour and are about to play at this years BigSound Festival where they are excited to get people in the industry talking about them even more. To coincide with all of these upcoming shows, Spacey Jane have dropped their infectious and brash new single ‘Good For You’ which hears them delivering purely good vibes that cite hope. Layered in self-deprecation, they explore failed relationships and feeling a little lost within the heartbreak. But instead of slipping further into this state of confusion and hurt they look towards the hopeful side that real love will come to them one day.
Soaked in heavy guitars and brash drums, they deliver a very summer-drenched indie rock sound that has some surf rock elements interpolated. This song fits perfectly into their discography and will become a favourite in their live show as it’s just so energetic and catchy and will perfectly steer them towards all of the summer shows that I’m sure they will be doing.
