SINGLE REVIEW: The Jungle Giants – Heavy Hearted

Fresh from sold out shows in the US, UK and Europe, The Jungle Giants have successfully taken their bright and electronic infused music into a global orbit. With the world finally getting to see what Australian audiences have experienced over the last couple of years, their success is a massive win for local music.

The dynamic four piece will be hitting the road this September and October for a huge run of homecoming shows and to coincide with the announcement they have dropped a new song. ‘Heavy Hearted’ is an experimental moment that uplifts their indie pop/rock sound and introduces a groovy house twist.

It feels like a retrospective pop moment that is somewhere in between The Jungle Giants and PNAU. It’s so fresh and experimental and continues the carefree and party vibes their music has always embodied but with just a new direction.

It’s unsure if the band will continue to head down this path for their next studio album or if this is just a standalone experimentation which pushes the boundaries on the bands artistry. But what is known is that this is one catchy song that will not want to leave your head for hours.
