SINGLE REVIEW: Camila Cabello feat. Shawn Mendes – Senorita

Grammy nominated artists Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have teamed up for the steamy ‘Senorita’. This is the first time the two singer-songwriters have collaborated since their 2015 duet ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. Showing a growth in maturity between the two tracks, they’ve elevated their strengths with a Latin production. The sensual track explores the deep infatuation they have that prevents them from breaking up even they both know it’s the right thing to do. “I love it when you call me señorita. I wish I could pretend I didn’t need ya. But every touch is ooh-la-la-la”

Combining their two unique pop sounds together, this is a song that radio will fall in love with. But that doesn’t mean that it’s their strongest song in either of their discography’s, because it’s not. It’s just a commercially attainable track that is easy to playlist and doesn’t have anything controversial linked to it. With the sensual atmosphere building, I was waiting for a fiery and seductive moment that took this song to the next level but it never came. However the music video seemed to make up for that.

At the end of the day there is only one song called ‘Senorita’ that deserves your playlist add and that’s by Justin Timberlake.
