It’s documented proof that Hayden James knows how to write a hit. I mean just look at ‘Just Friends’, ‘Better Together’, ‘Something About You’ and ‘Numb’, they are all bonafide hits in their own right. He’s no longer just Australia’s little secret, he is now playing massive stages all over the world and being playlisted everywhere. With his debut album ‘Between Us’ slated for a June 14 release, he’s just dropped a fresh new single featuring Los Angeles duo Naations. ‘Nowhere To Go’ is a chilled out disco influenced track the oozes the electronic likability his previous tracks have embodied. However, it falls a little flat in comparison. It’s a likeable track that has potential but it peaks really early and doesn’t really impress any further. It’s just a moody and clean electronic song that relies on the nostalgic influences to get you bopping away but you’ll find yourself questioning “was that it?”.
