SINGLE REVIEW: Ocean Alley – Stained Glass

After claiming the top spot on the Triple J Hottest 100 Countdown, all eyes are officially on Ocean Alley for what they do next. They now have an expectation to live up to and that’s quite a daunting thing when they have only released two records so far. Their first single of 2019 is a sun-soaked and relaxed moment that drifts between blues and surf-rock. ‘Stained Glass’ perfectly continues the sound they have already cemented with their music and doesn’t really see them experimenting any further which also means they aren’t compromising their vision or sound. It’s not as memorable or as mainstream focused as ‘Confidence’ but it still has a good post-summer vibe which will have you turning it up in the car and soaking in all the vibes.
