Lauv is a singer-songwriter who continues to just keep on giving. 2018 has seen him drip feed a massive release of songs as well as headline an extensive world tour on the back of a mixtape. His new single that is being served to mainstream radio is a big pop moment. Teaming up with Julia Michaels the two vocalists sing about the undeniable tension between two people and knowing that there is going to be future history between the two because of their spark. “There’s no way that it’s not going there with the way that we’re looking at each other. Lyrically it’s super cute and their harmonies between each other are strong, sweet and will have you feeling all the emotions. This is the most pop inclined we’ve heard Lauv head towards but he has held onto his DIY synth beats that drift throughout the song. It’s a track that will grow on you with each listen and whilst it’s not an instant smash, it’s one that has massive potential.
