After listening to their debut single I’ve immediately decided that I want to be best friends with Kira and after you listen to it I feel like you’re going to feel the same way too. The London based duo have previously been kicking around in other musical projects but after writing this song together Katie and Will decided it was time to join forces. The result is a sultry synth layered indie-pop moment. ‘If It Makes You Feel Better’ is everything you want from a debut single. It’s vulnerable, catchy and down right funky without being tacky or overly commercial. It’s the perfect introduction to who they are as artists and introduces a sound which comfortably sits somewhere in-between the musical stylings of HAIM and MUNA. The song explores the mind games we play when we first start dating people even if we don’t mean to. “If it makes you feel better babe, I can tell you I’ll see you again”. It’s honest, real and relatable and will have you grooving along instantly. The song is the right amount of laid back with the right amount of synth production to be memorable and chilled out. This is a musical duo you will want to keep an eye on because if this debut single is anything to go by then they may just become your favourite new indie-pop act.
