SINGLE REVIEW: Dean Lewis – Be Alright

Dean-Lewis-Be-Alright

Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis had a massive 2017. Not only did his debut single ‘Waves’ hear him break him through the Australian market but he also made a name for himself in America after the song featured on hit TV shows Riverdale, Suits and Greys Anatomy. After the release of his EP, a sold out headline tour, a coveted spot on Groovin The Moo as well as a lot of overseas shows the singer-songwriter is finally ready to give you the next single from his forthcoming debut album. ‘Be Alright’ continues the acoustic pop sound his EP ‘Same Kind Of Different’ introduced and will give you a whole lot of emotions with it’s relatable storyline. He reflects on a relationship that has ended but still having hope that he could restore what he once had. “And my friends said, I know you love her but it’s over mate. It doesn’t matter, put the phone away. It’s never easy to walk away, let her go. It’ll be alright”. The song begins with a simple strum of an acoustic guitar and builds with the addition of percussion and harmonies. It’s a track that will grow on you with each listen and perfectly continues the sound you have become familiar with from him. It’s reflective, sweet and is simply a nice song.
