Client Liaison have quickly become one of Australia’s favourite live acts and once you witness their live show it’s not hard to realise why. Their energy is contagious, captivating and uplifting. Their songs are a little ridiculous but that’s why they work so well. Their new single “Survival In The City” is the first taste of their forthcoming second studio album and it’s another euphoric moment that will have you grooving along instantly. The production during the first verse is similar to Kanye West’s “Fade” with its pulsating and moody hip-hop meets trap inspired beat. But then the song explodes with this funky melody that takes over and continuously builds to the structure. They throw in big synths, saxophone, slick percussion as well deliver smooth harmonies and interesting vocal effects to keep you intrigued the whole time. There is no way you can say that Client Liaison are predictable because once again they proved that they can throw together a bunch of groovy different sounds and create a cool electronic pop moment.
