Sydney producer Oh Boy is on a roll after his bold tracks “Rush Hour” and “Bunny Island” with Mallrat have become festival favourites while “Love Me Right” with Sam Bluer showcased a more emotional side and now he’s ready to switch it up once again. This time he’s teamed up with Imbi The Girl for a soulful RNB delivery that is super vibey. “You See Me” is an experimental track that has quite a DIY production that is sonically very different to anything he has done before. Imbi The Girl also delivers a soulful vocal delivery that is reminiscent of SZA and will have you instantly vibing. The production is lead by a simple percussion beat that sounds like its come straight from Garage Band and begins to add layers that intrigue the listener. I was waiting for this song to have an explosive moment or something completely unexpected but it just didn’t happen. This is the least pop inclined that we’ve heard Oh Boy go towards and whilst it is very different and shows a growth as an artist this isn’t his strongest release and thats a bit of a shame. It’s still an enjoyable release but it just doesn’t live up to the expectations his previous single have made.
