SINGLE REVIEW: Hein Cooper – Hear My Voice

unnamed

After releasing his debut album “The Art Of Escape” in 2016, Hein Cooper has been all over the world sharing his relaxed indie-folk. The Sydney singer-songwriter has just returned to Australia to release his brand new single and kick off a national run of dates at the end of the month. “Hear My Voice” is a melodic guitar and piano ballad that explores the self-constructed versions of ourselves and what the truth behind our lies actually are. “If you can hear my voice, move your heart just a little”. The reflective and soothing track is very calming with it’s basic production which adds in a slight electronic beat during the chorus. it’s very subtle and hears the basic premise of the production being preserved which is important. The song is as vulnerable and intimate as his previous material and stands strong next to his debut album. The potential for it to break through to the mainstream market is very possible because it’s just as strong (and if not stronger) than anything Vance Joy has released.
