Australian indie-pop princess Nicole Millar is currently touring the country with American newcomer LAUV and delivering crowds an energetic and polished set. To coincide with the tour she has just dropped her new single “Gimme A Break” which hears her channelling a throwback 80’s sound with a ridiculously fun and shiny chorus. The song looks at a guy who just won’t leave her alone or give her space and it’s ultimately pushing her away from wanting to continue anything. “All my girls are saying I’m supposed to have fun and I don’t need nobody to be locking me down. Won’t you gimme a gimme a break”. The synth driven song is very bright and fun and is the most commercially friendly we have heard her yet. It continues the pure pop sound she started to head towards with “Blindfolded” and “Signals” and it’s just super catchy. She also premiered another new song during her set at LAUV’s show which promises more guaranteed bops around the corner.
