Middle Kids bursted onto the Australian music scene in 2017 with their self titled EP that perfectly introduced their alternative indie rock to the world. It didn’t take long for their track “Edge Of Town” to go a little bit viral which is no surprise with it’s slight angsty and catchy hook. The Sydney three piece have finally announced that their debut album “Lost Friends” is set to be released on May 4 and leading the release is the bold “Mistake”. This indie-rock track follows in the lead of “Edge Of Town” with it’s effortless verses followed by its big and strong hook. It has a strange uplifting feel to it with the way the harmonies collide during the chorus and you can’t help but start singing along. It’s a bit of a belter really. It’s becoming a little obvious that these guys know how to write a killer hook and it will have you really excited to hear the rest of the album. The production is very indie-rock meets dreamy visions and sonically its not really that different to what we heard on their EP but they’ve just polished it up a little more.
