SINGLE REVIEW: Lady Gaga – Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Going?) Piano Version

Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'_) [Piano Version] -

Lady Gaga is currently wrapping up her world tour and is set to perform at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday. To coincide she has released a special piano version of her album title track “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Going)” which was inspired by her late aunt Joanne Germanotta who died at the age of 19 due to complications with Lupus. Along with the single and music video announcement the songstress donated to the Lupus Research Alliance and encouraged her fans to also donate to the foundation. The touching piano version transforms the guitar ballad into a raw piano ballad and captures the emotion on a deeper level. Her vocals tap into this emotional register that will have you transported into the room she wrote this song and feeling every lyric and every tear. The only thing that takes away from the emotion of the song is when she signs off singing “XO Joanne” which feels a little odd. The rest of the song is breathtakingly beautiful and is the perfect end to this album era for Gaga.
