DNCE are one pop’s weirdest and coolest bands. The four piece fronted by Joe Jonas are known to release some of the most ridiculous and fun pop tracks with “Cake By The Ocean”, “Toothbrush” and “Kissing Strangers” being perfect examples of this. Last year the band had a slightly quieter year in the spotlight while they extensively toured and worked on their forthcoming sophomore record. “DANCE” is the bands first new single in 9 months and is rumoured to be the lead single for their new record. As always the production is vibrant and fun while the hook is ridiculously catchy and will be instantly stuck in your head. The groovy baseline drives the verses before the pre-chorus strips it back to simple hand claps and guitar strumming and then resumes pop chaos during the upbeat chorus. “No I can’t stop thinking about you. Do you want me? Do you need me? Cause I think I’m falling in love”. It’s a bit all over place but thats what makes it work so well and makes it so memorable. This song has really been created for their live show as it perfectly resembles their crazy on stage personalities. It’s classic DNCE so kinda you have to love it.
