SINGLE REVIEW: Sheppard – Coming Home
Australian indie pop favourites Sheppard have had a massive year. From touring with Justin Bieber on his impressive Australian Stadium tour to heading over to the UK to join Little Mix on their Glory Days Summer Tour as well as recently embarking on a MASSIVE American headlining tour. They truly have played everywhere this year and it doesn’t look like they are planning to slow down at all in 2018. Their sophomore studio album will finally be released in the first half of the year and they’ve just dropped their euphoric new single. “Coming Home” hears them returning to their indie-pop roots with a feel good track that embraces the euphoric feeling of going home after a long time away. The production is very polished and hears them delivering an infectious hook which is truly ready for radio. “I’m coming home tonight. Meet me in the valley where the kids collide into the morning. Oh my god, my town is coming alive”. You can’t help but share a cheeky little smile whilst listening to it because it really does tap into that ridiculous happiness. This is their strongest single of their year and will see them continuing to rake up the millions of streams on Spotify that they seem to be constantly growing.
