SINGLE REVIEW: Rita Ora – Your Song
It’s been a long time since we have had new Rita Ora music and it got to the point that I was questioning if we would ever receive more from her. But she’s BACK and as poppy as ever and thats not a bad thing. “Your Song” is a tropical pop track that focuses more on her vocal delivery instead having elaborate production. It’s a bit simple but thats why it works so well. It’s genuine, cute, catchy and will have you falling in love all over again. The lyrics look at her waking up after a one night stand and realising that it may be something more and sees her falling in love after having her heart broken previously. “I don’t wanna hear sad songs anymore, I only wanna hear love songs. I found my heart up in this place tonight. Don’t wanna sing mad songs anymore. Only wanna sing your song cause your song’s got me feeling like I’m I’m in love”. It’s a cute storyline that even if you’re not in love currently it makes you want to feel that all over again. It grows on you after a couple of listens and while it may not be the strongest pop track out at the moment its still a good addition to your summer playlist.
