SINGLE REVIEW: Fall Out Boy – Young And Menace

Fall Out Boy’s last two albums were pretty great, they resurrected the angst and power of their previous material and allowed fans to reminisce on the good ol days. After taking a little break to work on their forthcoming seventh studio album they’ve just dropped their new single and its not what you were expecting at all. “Young And Menace” is a mess of a track that hears the band taking an electronic approach to their usually angsty pop-rock fusion. They are almost unrecognisable if it wasn’t for Patrick Stumps vocals that automatically hit you with Nostalgia. The whole time I find myself questioning what they are exactly doing. The lyrics are about being an outsider and not feeling like you belong which is what they’ve always promoted. But the production is where it feels off and not exactly them. Next please.
