SINGLE REVIEW: Hailee Steinfeld – Most Girls
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had new music from Hailee Steinfeld and I’ve been craving more of her gooey and euphoric pop. Luckily for us she has just released a new single from her forthcoming debut album and it’s yet another catchy banger. “Most Girls” is a rhythmic pop track that experiments with tropical house elements and sees her becoming a bit more adventurous. However lyrically its a gimmicky track that is only going to really be able to be marketed to females and after opening so many doors with “Starving” and “Love Myself” it seems like a bit of a silly career move to not release something more universally friendly. However it is an empowering track that looks at self love. “You know some days you feel so good in your own skins. But it’s okay if you want to change that body that you came in. Cause you look the greatest when you feel like a damn queen”. Her vocals have improved so much and this song shows her using a wider range and experimenting with different vocal effects. The beat is super catchy and will have you wanting to wave your arms around and shaking every inch of yourself. It’s just a lot of cheesy fun.
