SINGLE REVIEW: Beatz – Ain’t Your Girl
Last years season of The X Factor Australia was a massive mess for multiple reasons and it comes by no surprise that Channel 7 have now axed the reality TV juggernaut. But one of the the massive shocks last year on the show was how Beatz were robbed from being in the final 3. Their harmonies, choreography and connection were visibly tight but somehow they were sent home. However this trio from Sydney have finally released their debut single “Ain’t Your Girl” and its a sure fire banger. The RNB-meets-EDM-meets-pop track is the perfect introduction to the group because its full of personality and attitude while serving a genuinely fun track. The verses pure spit-fire reminds me of early Iggy Azalea mixtape days with its strong raps and and gritty production that made you just want feel the angst and let your body move. While the bridge and chorus provides bubblegum pop goodness that Ariana Grande and Fifth Harmony would be proud of. Their harmonies are as strong as ever and they showcase a impressive versatility in only 3 minutes. The song is ridiculously catchy and will get stuck in your head after one listen and will have you pushing repeat very quickly. These girls know who they are as artists and the fact that this song was released independently is massively applaudable. This is only the beginning.
