SINGLE REVIEW: Banks – Crowded Places

BANKS-Crowded-Places-2017-2480x2480

It’s only been 7 months since Banks released her sophomore album “The Altar” but she’s already blessing us yet again with new music. “Crowded Places” is a track the songstress recorded for the soundtrack of the final season of Girls. The moody alternative-pop track sees her taking a step back from the serious attitude she served us on the last record and offers pure emotion. “Cause I’ve been scared of crowded places. Come with me, I’ll take you home”. Her vocals show a vulnerability that her debut record revolved around and sees her implementing the moody dark synths her sophomore record cemented and collides these two sounds perfectly. It’s not bold or catchy like “Trainwreck” or “Gemini Feed” but its raw and intriguing. It’s her vocal delivery hat really makes the song. It’s not the best song in her discography but it’s still good and will hold you over until album number three.
