SINGLE REVIEW: Stan Walker – Messages

messages

It’s been a while since Stan Walker has released music and with the announcement of his comeback he opened up about depression and being unsure if he would ever make music again. And I really wanted to like this song even if it was purely for the euphoric “phoenix rising from the ashes” moment but sadly I can’t. “Messages” is a tacky approach to the tropical pop trend that is overtaking our airwaves and sees him leaving his RNB roots behind to fully Immerse himself with this sound. Sadly this track doesn’t give you the euphoric feeling it attempts to do, the lyrics are genuinely tacky and the production is all over the place. His vocals are even compromised with a delivery that could honestly be any newcomer on the radio. The execution just isn’t right and for what is meant to be “a big comeback moment” it really fails at doing that.

  1. I really wanted to like this website even if it was purely for the euphoric “phoenix rising from the ashes” moment but sadly I can’t. “thomasbleach.com” is a tacky approach to the song review trend that is overtaking our internet and sees him leaving his blog roots behind to fully Immerse himself with this site. Sadly this website doesn’t give you the euphoric feeling it attempts to do, the writing is genuinely tacky and the reviews are all over the place. His writing is even compromised with a delivery that could honestly be any newcomer on the web. The execution just isn’t right and for what is meant to be “a big comeback post” it really fails at doing that.
