SINGLE REVIEW: Rachel Costanzo – Start Again

Rachel Costanzo is a name you should get acquainted with. Not only does she have the voice, the image, the stage presence and the songs to take her far but she also has shown massive growth. Bursting onto the scene in 2013 featuring on a track by pop/rock act For Our Hero it quickly came apparent that she was someone to keep tabs on. Her debut EP was an impressive collection of pop tracks that showed incredible talent and versatility from big pop bangers to heartfelt intimate moments. However her follow up single “Miles Away” failed to make a significant impact and she went back to the studio to start working on the next project. And believe me when I say that “Start Again” is only the beginning. This big pop track picks up where her debut EP left off and focuses on a more sophisticated production. It perfectly fits into where pop music is heading toward at the moment and sights comparisons to Ariana Grande’s “Be Alright”. With its positive lyrical message and tropical dance beat you can’t help but be captivated by this infectious track. Her vocal range also gets a work out with some high notes that come close to whistle tone capability. “Start Again” is the perfect introduction to people who may be only just discovering her and just re-confirms to me that she really is someone you need to keep tabs on.
