SINGLE REVIEW: Zara Larsson – Ain’t My Fault
Zara Larsson is the voice/future pop princess behind two of your favourite songs of the summer just past with the infectious “Lush Life” and “Never Forget You” (featuring MNEK). With her longly awaited international debut album slated for a late 2016 release she’s just dropped the offical second single. “Ain’t My Fault” is a funky pop track with a whole lot of sass and she doesn’t hold back from a killer delivery which will have every part of your independent soul letting loose. “It ain’t my fault you keep turning me on, It ain’t my fault you got, got me so gone, it ain’t my fault I’m not leaving you alone”. The hook is infectiously catchy, the production will have you dropping low and shaking everything while her vocal delivery will impress with her big notes and impressive rapping attempt. At a first listen I wasn’t as convinced as I was with the bubblegum pop “Lush Life” but this edgy and sexy sound inevitably won me over. Zara Larsson is a perfect candidate for the future of pop, but she’s up against Tove Lo and Dua Lipa, who are both putting up convincing arguments why they should be playing in arenas near you soon.
