SINGLE REVIEW: Iggy Azalea – Azillion
ITS IGGUARY and I’m already stanning over the promotional roll out for Iggy Azalea’s highly anticipated sophomore studio album “Digital Distortion”. She will be dropping a couple of “buzz tracks” from the album before the release of the lead single at the end of February. This is really aimed to remind everyone why the world fell in love with her in the first place before all the uncalled controversy that continually had her topping headlines in 2015. The first buzz track “Azillion” will have you gagging for more. Produced by D.R.U.G.S. the track throws it back to her early mixtape days with a reminiscent production style to “My World” with the addition of a pop influenced hooked that echoes the structure of ‘New Bitch”. “From December to mother fucking Igguary. Body bags putting covers in the cemetery, New Classic just the preliminary, this a rap bitch obituary”. The only thing that seems out of place on this track is the outro that comes on too strong and finishes prematurely. Otherwise the production is on point and I’m so glad she has returned to her roots because her mixtape material and early “The New Classic” singles (pre “Fancy”) is when she really shined.
