SINGLE REVIEW: Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move

This has already become my favourite songs of right now and for good reason. “Something In The Way You Move” is the first promotional single from Ellie Goulding’s highly anticipated third studio album “Delirium” and with the current success of “On My Mind” it’s no surprise everyone is talking about her. This track continues the big pop sound that “Love Me Like You Do” implemented into her music and it begins with a funky 80’s inspired synth verse that will have you bopping along. It then breaks into a giant pop infused hook that will have you instantly falling in love. “But tonight I’m gonna lose it all, playing with fire I was the first to fall. Heart is sinking like a cannonball, baby kill me what you waiting for?” Something in the way you move, it’s something in the way you do it”. After a first listen I had the hook stuck in my head and instantly wanted to hear it over and over again. It’s one of those feel good pop tracks that will have you smiling while listening to it and really feeling the positivity it’s projecting. Her vocals are as strong as ever and have her anthemic “ooohs” throughout the hook. “Something In The Way You Move” is one of the best pop songs out right now and is a stronger release than “On My Mind”. If this is what we can expect from “Delirium” then my body is ready.
