SINGLE REVIEW: One Direction – Infinity

It’s only taken them a couple of years, a pregnant girlfriend and losing a band member but One Direction have finally found their sound. “Infinity” is a pop/rock track that may be generic in structure but makes up in the strong harmonies and lyrical content. “How many nights have you wished someone would stay? Lay awake only hoping they’re okay. I never counted all of mine, If I tried I know it would feel like infinity”. The song grows and adds texture right up until the synth breakdown that ignites the final chorus. This is a sound that is perfect for them and something that both “Drag Me Down” and “Infinity” captured. While this is not an official single and is just a promotional track for their upcoming fifth studio album “Made In The A.M” it has already topped the ITunes chart around the globe and I have a feeling they aren’t going to disappoint this time around.
