SINGLE REVIEW: Lucy Neville – Lady

Lucy Neville Lady

Lucy Neville is quickly becoming one of my favourite up and coming artists and with her Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding esq vocals you can’t help but be intrigued. “Lady” is her second single off her debut EP which will be available on September 18. This track is a lot darker than her debut single “On My Own” and sees her experimenting further with the electronic sound. Starting off with echoing vocals she fronts a mellow synth and percussion beat before launching into an EDM inspired hook that will have you wanting to break it down right there and then. The songs themes look at how someone can be quite bad for you but you’re so wrapped up in their presence that you don’t notice how damaging that could be. “I don’t know if I can call this love but I know that I’m your lady”. The songs mood and beats continually grow and evolve making this one memorable electronic pop song that you need to add to your playlists. Every time I listen to this song I fall more in love with the vocals, the beats, the lyrics and the overall production.

“Lady” is available to buy now on ITunes and to stream through Spotify

Her debut EP, also titled “Lady” will be available through digital retailers on September 18
