SINGLE REVIEW: Hilary Duff – Sparks

Hilary Duff may have been sleepwalking last year with some snooze worthy singles but she’s ready to give you the fiery dance bop you were waiting for. Co-written by “Bloodshy”, Peter Thomas, Sam Shrieve and Swedish goddess Tove Lo “Sparks” ignites the fire once again in Duff’s music. I’m just going to say it; this could possibly be the best pop release of 2015 so far with its infectious chorus and hypnotizing whistle it will be stuck in your head for HOURS. “Turn the lights down low and kiss me in the dark cause when you’re touching me baby I see sparks”. The sound is reminiscent of her “Dignity” era with the easy dance beat and positive love themes. As soon as I heard the song in its entirety I was like this is THE song that will blow her up again. It’s easily relatable and a pure pop gem. I can’t wait to hear what else her and Tove Lo have been cooking up in the studio cause if this is any indication of what’s to come then I’M READY.
