UK Songstress Ella Eyre is set to release her debut album “Feline” in May and following the success of “If I Go” and “Comeback” there’s no surprise that she has another anthem ready to unleash. “Together” is the third single from the album and the soul/pop track is infectiously catchy and radio ready but it’s very generic. Beginning as a soul ballad she launches into a dance chorus that sounds like every Rudimental track (*Snoooooooze*). The song continues to build and stay up-tempo while delivering a powerful and cliché message of unity. “It’s not about me, it’s not about who I want to be. It’s not about you, you know that we are better off as two. Because we are, we are, we are, we are born. We are, we are, we are, we are born together”. Ella Eyre is an incredible vocalist and this song continues to show the world that but with such a cliché hook and sound I feel like we lose a bit of her magic. For people who are only just being introduced to Eyre then they will be probably love this commercial track but for long time fans you most likely won’t find this song too special.
