SINGLE REVIEW: Tinashe (Featuring Iggy Azalea) – All Hands On Deck
Tinashe has had major success globally with her epic bop “2 On” and with the release of her critically acclaimed debut album “Aquarius” she’s safely sitting on top of the world. She’s ready to get the world moving again and this time she’s enlisted the help from Australian raptress Iggy Azalea to feature on a remix of her new single. “All Hands On Deck’ is a gritty beat driven RNB track that almost acts as the perfect sequel to “2 On”. With a similar formula it will have you breaking it down during the hook gyrating like crazy. Lyrically it looks at a woman retaining her confidence and embracing her love life after a break-up. It also reassures its normal to try find a rebound love with the lyrics; “When you left, you left me with no choice. I’m looking for a boy to fill this empty void”. Iggy Azalea attempts to give her usual sassy flavor but lacks the charisma and warmth she usually delivers making it one of her most lackluster features yet. The song is catchy and grows on you with each listen. It’s not as catchy as “2 On” but it’s still fun and a real jam either way.
