The UK continue to deliver us some of the hottest acts to keep an eye on during 2015 and Years And Years have just topped that list. The electronica trio from London are beginning to create quite the stir captivating attention from the likes of Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding who have both taken to Twitter to express their adoration for this unique act. Their sound is a fusion of 90’s house music and new wave electronica citing influences from Diplo, Flying Lotus and Radiohead. Over the past two years they have released four EP’s; “Traps”, “Real”, “Take Shelter” and “Desire (Remixes)”, gaining themselves a strong and supportive fan base which is about to get even bigger. Lead vocalist Olly Alexander soothes and tantalizes all your senses with his eclectic vocal range. Hitting high notes that most men would struggle to he takes comfort in those strengths. “Real” is a pure standout track that experiments with pace and synths making it one hell of a jam. “Take Shelter” is also one that will quickly become a favourite with its ultra-cool beat and hook that will have you festival ready in no time. Kicking off the year winning the coveted “BBC Sound Of 2015 Award” the boys have a bunch of touring planned including a headlining Shepherds Bush show before the release of their highly anticipated debut album. They’ve just unleashed their new single “King” which will be officially released on March 1 and it’s a guaranteed home run for them. Oozing cool and dominated by an indescribably catchy hook this song will launch their career to a whole new level.
